WE PARTICIPATED IN THE FIRST CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN IN SUSTAINABILITY IN BIH

Weltplast participated in the first Conference for Women in Sustainability in Sarajevo, organized by Women in Adria. This conference represented not only an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, but also an important step towards strengthening the role of women in sustainable business.

Our executive director, Mrs. Jelena Čačulović had the honor of opening this inspiring event. Through her experience at Weltplast, she presented our commitment to sustainability as a key element of our business model. She emphasized the importance of including different perspectives and ideas in achieving sustainable development and shared her insights on the implementation of sustainability in the organization.

One of the key moments that Mrs. Jelena highlighted our commitment to all three pillars of sustainability: economic, social and environmental. Through our production of plastic bags, we continuously strive for innovative solutions that protect the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future. Our recycling facility, which dates back to 1989, is a testament to our commitment to closed-loop production and recycling, making us a sustainability pioneer in our industry.

Mrs. Jelena also emphasized the importance of transparency in sustainability reporting. She emphasized that we really believe in our "sustainable truth" - clearly defined production processes that enable the measurement of our impact on the environment. It is the foundation on which we build trust with our partners and the community.

Our presence at the Women in Sustainability Conference was not only an opportunity to share our achievements, but also to learn and inspire. Participation in this event further motivates us to continue our mission of creating a more sustainable future, together with our partners and collaborators.
